Congratulations to our mens team under the management of Noel Feeney, Pat Leonard and Cathal Sweeney who have secured Intermediate status for 2022 by defeating St. Aidans last Saturday in the Tansey Cup semi final. We started off slowly and were down 0-7 to 0-3 at halftime.  In the second half though the lads stepped up and played really well together. It was an exciting game and in the end the team just got over the line winning by a point. Final score 1-12 to 1-11.  Team: M. Feeney, E. Glancy, M. Mulvey, P. Flynn, H. Molloy, F. Sweeney, D. O’Beirne (0-1), J. Filan, D. Beirne(0-1), E. Corcoran(1-6), C. Harmon(0-2), M. Murtagh, C. Layden(0-1), S. Beirne(0-1), D. Conlon, M. McDermott, J. O’Donnell, J. Farrell, N. Lynch, S. Surlis.  The team will now play Oran in Tansey Cup final, date to be confirmed.  The club wishes a speedy recovery to St. Aidans player Gary Kelly who sustained an injury in the game on Saturday.
