DRIVE IN BINGO
Drive In Bingo continues every Sunday night at 8pm in Glancys SuperValu carpark, €2500 in prizes to be won. Thanks to Pádraig & Jim Glancy for use of car park. Also many thanks to all of our volunteers who help out every Sunday night. The weather hasn’t been great the last while so we really appreciate the efforts of everyone.
SUMMER CAMP
Our Summer camp which took place last week in beautiful weather conditions was a tremendous success. Many thanks to Gary, Caroline, Edel, Joanne, Charlie, Fiona, Kevin for organising and all our wonderful coaches on an action packed week of fun. List of coaches for the week were Alannah Devaney, Aisling Ryan, Amy McManus, Colm Burke, Lee Taylor, Chloe O’Dowd, Conor Creighton, Darragh O’Beirne, Eabha Devaney, Keelan Devaney, Amy Brennan, Toriin O’Donaille, Kayla Beirne, Brona Brennan, Caoimhe McGovern, Chloe Dunne, Michaela Dunne. Great to see so many young people helping out. Many thanks also to county team players Shane Killoran, Cian McKeon and Christina Beirne for attending.
FOOTBALL
Hard luck to Roscommon senior men’s team who bowed out of Connacht championship on Sunday. The club wishes the best of luck to Evan Corcoran & the Roscommon U20 team when they take on Leitrim in quarter finals of Connacht championship in Hyde Park on Tuesdsy evening at 7pm. Also best wishes to our own Darragh Ó Beirne and Roscommon Minor team who play Kerry in the Electric Minor All Ireland Football semi final on Sunday 11th July at 2.30pm in Gaelic Grounds Limerick.
RESULTS & FIXTURES FOR COMING WEEK
U13 Boys Div 2 team defeated Michael Glaveys last week, our U13 Div 4 side lost out to Pádraig Pearses.
Wednesday 7th July – Div 1 U15 boys play Pádraig Pearses away at 7.30pm, then on Thurs 8th our Div 4 team travel the same journey to play Pádraig Pearses at 7.30pm in Woodmount. On Friday evening our Tansey Cup mens team have home game against St Barry’s at 8pm TBC. Saturday 10th Div 4 U13 Boys play Kilglass Gaels/St Barry’s at 11am in Croghan. Best of luck to all teams.
CONGRATS
Well done to William Little on completing his Ironman on Sunday, which he done as a fundraiser for North West Hospice. This included a 3.8km swim, 180km cycle and 42.2km Run in terrible wet conditions. A great achievement William, you and your family should be so proud.
LADIES
Results
Our Senior ladies defeated Michael Glaveys in round 3 of the league on a score line of 3-16 to 1-07.
This week from U12 to Junior we had tougher games to stronger sides on all days out, but most importantly in each game the girls all put in wonderful strong efforts.
