Congrats to Croghan Tidy Towns and everyone involved in securing a grant of €100,00 to enhance the village. We look forward to seeing the works being done.
It was with great sadness when we heard last Tuesday of the passing of our friend, neighbour and fellow clubman Paul Connaughton. Paul’s two sons Rory and Fergus both play underage football for the club. Paul consistently attended their training and matches always shouting them on from the sidelines. Paul helped out with our Nursery U6s when the boys were younger and for this we are very grateful. Paul will be sadly missed by everyone in Shannon Gaels and the wider community. Our thoughts and prayers are with Paul’s wife Meryl,  sons Rory and Fergus, his daughter Cara and all his extended family at this sad and difficult time. Rest in Peace Paul.
Sympathy of the club is also extended to Larry Ó Beirne and his two sisters Breege and Noreen on the passing of their father Johnny Ó Beirne RIP. Sympathy also to Ladies Chairperson Lorainne McLoughlin on the death of her Aunt Myra. Ah Dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Just a reminder again to everyone all club grounds and gym remain closed due to Covid restrictions, all GAA activities are suspended. If you know anyone in the community who needs help with anything from shopping to prescription needs please let us know. A list of volunteers for helping out in each area has been circulated. Stay safe everyone.
