Our club and the wider community was shocked and saddened last Monday when word came through about the untimely death of our former parish priest Fr. Martin Mulvaney. Fr. Martin served our parish for 15 years and was loved by everybody. He brought something special to the masses every weekend and great crowds would come to hear his sermons. Our club formed a guard of honour together with the  wider community from both sides of the bridge on Thurs evening as Fr Martin made his last journey to his native Sligo. Great crowds came out to say their last goodbye to him which shows the esteem in which he was held. We offer our deepest sympathy to Fr. Martins brothers and sisters and to his extended family.
